Domain Lifecycle

Every active domain name goes through a lifecycle, which provides information or indicators about the domain's status. Here are some common domain lifecycle stages used for Indonesian domains:

Auto Renewal Period

  • The auto renewal period generally lasts 1-40 days after the domain's expiration date.
  • The domain's status in WHOIS is "renewPeriod."
  • During this period, the domain name can still be renewed at the regular renewal price.

Redemption Period

  • The redemption period generally lasts 1-40 days after the auto renewal period.
  • The domain's status in WHOIS is "pendingDelete."
  • During this period, the domain can still be renewed or restored through a restoration process. The restoration fee for the domain can be viewed in the RDASH.

Pending Delete

  • The pending delete period generally lasts 1-7 days after the redemption period.
  • During this period, the customer or domain owner cannot renew or restore the domain.
  • The domain becomes available again (marked as "available") after the pending delete period ends. (expiration date + 40 days auto renewal period + 30 days redemption period + 7 days pending delete)
